Now DRE have come to a greater understanding of Mangaroon with VMS which can include gold rich feeder zones and also overprinting of gold rich epidermal shoots. This is a rich area that can be unlocked with the right approach. Lots of potential.
The VMS indications do not override or make redundant the chance of a gold camp at Mangaroon. The area was under explored and it is great to see how a successful term goes about greenfields exploration using modern techniques. This has taken a small but important step forward. Now they can better plan the EM for instance where the mineralization will show up as negatives; where the alteration is situated.
As an aside; Friday night was critical for the metals and the ASX gold sector. In particular the breakdown below a rising support line on the Au: Ag ratio. It also fell through a second support level and more importantly closed the week for the first time below that rising support (now resistance). Silver has rocketed and now sitting at 48.28/oz AUD. The break above US$30 a significant move.
