What I don’t get is that the Greenfields pit in the photo is not only a duck pond but appears to be full of backfill, which is much fun to load out in a confined space. Chalk up another to the bloke with the PhD. To my eye, the pits worked by FML to the south seem to offer ease of access, real estate and grade (refer FML announcements re Dreadnought et al). I can only conclude that either Old Mate hasn’t run a concurrent optimisation over the resources (can be done in Whittle it there are a number of LP algorithms around) or there’s something not being said.
