You could definitely do a modular concentration plant, albeit you limit your upside tonnage again, so i'm not sure how you combine that with the words 'large scale'.
Modular concentration plant (s) would be multiple smaller operations, not a larger single operation, so you don't get the economies of scale benefit outside of corporate overheads.
I agree if MOY goes searching for the current white elephants then it is irrelevant but this goldie was producing nice profits with their current infrastructure and just needed extra reserves, so I would be surprised if they abandoned it. They just need to make sure they aren't getting ridiculous haulage costs to save some capex (long term pain to avoid short term pain).
