Mineralisation (magnetite - pyrite - chalcopyrite) would suggest its a porphyry system (but the alteration multi element geochem would confirm), which is pretty significant in the Yilgarn. Have read papers were workers have alluded to these systems, more so on conceptual targeting and some sniffs in the periphery/regolith above, but never really seen a proper intersection into one before. The belt along the edge of the western Yilgarn has a few, CVV project being the main one.
Knowing how difficult these systems can be to target (plenty examples over in the Lachlan fold belt), I am not surprised that they got lower grade intersections around the high grade mineralisation. The team will right now be modelling up the geochem, and working out the alteration patterns in order to continue targeting the core of the system.
Really looking forward to the Phase 2 drilling!
    Congrats LEX team
