Plenty of inconsistencies in the announcement. The estimated true widths could only be so if the mineralisation trends NW-SE and that appears unlikely. All of the other lodes strike east of north and Tangoa, it is said, is alone in striking N-S.
Need holes on adjacent sections and perpendicular to those already drilled to reveal what is actually there. Another hole in the same vertical plane may add to the hype but won't give any indication of the third dimension.
Had a bit of a look at the historical info on the Webb-Consols orebody pictured in the announcement. It was mined over about 60 vertical metres and on the 190 foot level had dimensions of 50 feet by 40 feet. Good grades but few tonnes.
Who knows? Tangoa may be different but if the mineralisation is limited to the leucogranite then there may not be much room for growth in strike.
