Gold stocks can't really be put in the bottom drawer, however. If the current bull market has more legs to it (as mja and I both think) things might get pretty crazy. There will be a peak, then a big trough. There will come a time when you wish you had sold earlier - unless you actually did. Hopefully a takeover will force us all to cash out before then.

If the rest of the sharemarket crashes, we can safely relax for some time, probably years. But when your mates start discussing gold stocks instead of the footy, take the hint and sell. What, they're discussing BNPL stocks not the footy? Same applies.
