Tbh I have no idea what to make of this. They don't state the pH used, the temperature used or even the acid used, and not the duration. Unless I've become blind there is nothing in this announcement that helps someone actually understand if this is good or bad. Red flags galore, but not unexpected I guess. They write about the Altilium process as if the answers are obvious with that detail, but I haven't been able to find anything.

The closest info I could find on the altilium webiste was about this process which looks like I can process REE with nitric acid at 110 degrees C. They haven't actually done a feasibility study yet but apparently its easily scaleable.
