ugh really? Manchester Uni touts itself as the home of graphene. Graphene was conceptualised in the 50's. It's one atom thick. Being one atom thick and with all sp2 carbons in a trigonal planar geometry means there are unbonded pi electrons above and below the plane. having two layers effect the electronic structure. Take it to the other extreme, what is graphite if not billion layer graphene, yet noone states that graphene and graphite have the same properties, because its obvious they dont, but graphene and 2 layer graphene also have different properties, thus 2 layer 'graphene' is not graphene at all, and just because a commercial company wants to call something graphene does not make it so. But anyway enough of this, clearly no one is willing to budge from their perspective so lets give it a rest.
