Some companies, apart from placements, allow shareholders to participate in the Capital raising, by subscribing for up to $15,000.00 (usually in thousand dollar increments) worth of shares. This tends to favour the smaller shareholders, allows tiny holders to get marketable parcels, and IMO, helps stabilize the share base. No need to buy in if you don't want. A very fair system, everyone can participate, $ are guaranteed. One wonders why the board did not consider this, or other means for shareholders to participate, particularly as they have been expressing great hope for their gold prospects.
