From my position, the poor guys waited for years in the stock, now it's kicked a major goal they don't recognise it and often with their brokers urging are selling it.

If one is simply in with a view for a quick profit then your view probably holds.

I was in it for years, then out for say 5 years and "lucky" enough to get back in just before the deal (having learned some lessons over the period, I think). Certainly my experience spanned: the GFC, the Cu price collapse and HAV running it's small gold pit.

Even though I consider OZL negotiated a pretty tough deal with HAV. The more I look at it I think the HAV directors did the best they could in that circumstance.
Depending on how one uses it HAV is pretty attractive leverage to a higher copper price.
