I suspect that there is a fair bit of wooing of the top 20 shareholders. The more I think about it, the more I am becoming schizophrenic about this. Half of me is annoyed that BHP did not do it 5 years ago at a fraction of the price. The other half of me is watching with interest how it plays out and is interested in following all the corporate wheeling and dealing. And the other half of me hopes that BHP maintains capital discipline and does not overpay.
So no wonder I don't know what I think.
