it looks unlikely we'll see a deal unless River Capital agrees to sell to GQG. Maybe River Capital is annoyed that GQG effectively spiked the Regal deal. I don't understand the attraction to Regal. From what I know of Regal, the worst thing for a PAC boutique would be Regal ownership. A collision of conflicting corporate cultures.
As a holder of both GQG and PAC shares I wanted to retain exposure to the PAC portfolio as I think there's plenty of potential positive catalysts ahead for PAC. At it's current share price it also represents outstanding value on a P/E basis in my opinion.
One thing is for sure, three corporate suitors currently value PAC at $10.50 plus and my shares cost me much less than that. Happy to retain my holding.
