GQG trading on only 8.5x is probably the still one of the fastest growing fund managers on the planet.

PAC trading on 18x last years numbers and 15x forward numbers assuming they don’t disappoint again. They are probably carrying $50mil in debt and up to $3mil in costs relating to this strategic transaction which will affect this HY financials.

I have disclosed previously I’ve moved on and so far that has proven correct. I wish all well but a word of warning is not to fall in love with a company. If this transaction fails it could be several years before you see this price again.

I believe GQG probably only made an offer was to protect their mate Paul Greenwood an will probably be happy to walk away. The only saving grace is River C would be crazy not to accept $11.

The other item to add is that if a takeover doesn’t occur then Franking Credits will be fully exhausted this year (if not already).

Final payment was 65% franked.

This will have impact on PE ratio valuation by Mr Market.
