I did have a look at the two reports to see what they had to change and you'll note the second bullet point has been removed which refers to copper and nickel sulphides having been identified at the project. Further on it details the source of that statement which was a 1971 Garrick Agnew Pty Ltd Annual report. So, the changed made is that all mentions of copper and nickel sulphides having been identified by GAPL have been removed.
So professional curiosity lead me to download the report A001694 on WAMEX and there is in fact a mention of copper and nickel sulphides in the Geological report, see below. Now, Old Brian might have stretched the significance of this sentence when he penned the nearology report that was released, but he wasn't wrong, so it would be interesting on what basis did the ASX force AVL to retract the statements??
