My post above came from my own deductions of information I gathered during the day. We know about the recent agreement with Panasonic, add to that information derived from @Gowatch above regarding LG and Panasonic deals with Tesla (LG and Panasonic have signed agreements with NVX) plus the video from @dannyleb and it becomes clear that investors can see the certain future indirect link between Tesla and Novonix, even though they have no direct contract with each other. Importantly, it appears that a combination of natural and synthetic graphite produces the highest quality anode, and Novonix is going to be the only US source of synthetic graphite.
From my experience, there is nothing more positive for a company that deals in battery materials than an agreement to supply Tesla with material in the future.
There may be other evidence that I am not aware of, but this is the conclusion that I came to in order to explain the surge in SP today.
