Just a guess, but it appears to me that it might be one they needed to get done to get TGA approval for CerviScreen. That would be nice, to get some extra revenue and local exposure for the company and its products in the near future (i.e. being able to launch CerviScreen locally).

p.s. nice announcement yesterday. Management managed to thread the needle by turning what could have been a perceived negative (extending the SPP a 2nd time) into a positive (giving everyone details & time to consider the merger proposal once it can be divulged). There were some other bits of info added that were nice as well (e.g. excess SUS stock ready to go etc.)
