Correction ... the small fish currently have over 1% (4.6m+) and we know we have the support of big holders who do not join for their own reasons - privacy concerns, or possibly high profile individuals who prefer to stay in the shadows until a move has to be made. It costs us nothing to band together and be ready to work together. The PIG group started before Scott's appointment was announced, before we had this glimmer of hope.
Even with this newfound hope, I prefer to be ready to fight as small fish, rather than roll over for the big players.This isn't Crown Casino and I'm not betting, I'm investing in what you acknowledge should one day be a multi billion dollar business. Company directors and executives have a duty to act in the interests of the company/shareholders (that includes me - small fish). I gain nothing by whining (as I do) on this site. I gain self respect by being ready to stand up and be counted, even if I don't stand a chance of winning.
I expect things to get better from here. But if there do develop issues which lead to an EGM and vote, we don't know how the big boys will vote. I don't trust them to not do the unexpected, and our vote could make a difference. I'm not snoozing while they steal my money. And you know, sometimes feisty, persistent small fish who expose wrongdoing, negligence or incompetence win, simply because they are right.
