I reckon the deals are out there, but he just needs to meet the market. If it's small up-fronts, plus milestones and royalties, then that's ok. Just don't keep coming back to the well asking an increasingly exposed domestic funds/retail marketplace to keep ploughing money in without any sign that Pharma wish to support the venture. It's a law of diminishing returns anyway, but will set alarm bells ringing if it goes on much longer. Paul must submit, if that's how he see's it, to at least signing the best regional deal on offer in the next 6 months. It might not be the deal he dreamed of. There won't be a ticker-tape parade. But it's such a critical step.
