The process to produce iPPS and it's complex sub molecules is more complex than your excellent illustrative analogy.
It's more than 150 individual steps...this little discussion also came up at our little AGM luncheon...it has been refined over decades, they have some equipment that spans 5 levels in height...to get the product just right and perfect every time. There are at least 8 rooms that are completely and totally off limits to outsiders.

They have achieved a manufacturing standard of EN ISO 13485:2003/AC:2007
