As I said "in weighing this up for myself" and "notwithstanding the negatives". I really don't know how material any change in trial size will be on the required pass mark but I know larger sample size increases statistical significance of a given outcome and achieving a pass matters more than any of the above negatives - at least over my investment horizon.
