Also re: thermal vs electrical output - damn important distinction, and that ration is of course effected by how much pumping needs to go on. My understanding is that in most (all) EGS some pumping will be desirable to reach optimum flow rates. Obviously there's a balance between how much energy you use to pump and how much extra you get from pumping.
Also, my understanding (limited) of a binary plant is that the hot brine is used to heat another substance (with a lower boiling point). Pretty standard technique nowadays - they are using molten salts for solar thermal.
I think the biggest thing to hold your breath about is what support they'll get for the capital raising about to end. In my opinion its been unfortunate timing with all the recent volatility, thats for sure.
I think it might be trouble if they can't raise the funds required for Paralana 3.
From memory the SPP doesnt come with bonus options or anything, which I think is a pity, as that might have improved things a bit.
