The major demand for containerised transport is East to West .
They frequently have to ship containers back from the West to the East empty .
Thus very good rates exist for shipping containers from the West to the East . Since 2008 there has been massive overcapacity in global shipping too .
Don't know the freight rates but would be surprised if they were even half the figure quoted .
Maybe someone else does and can enlighten us ?
