Finding extra resources can't be bad.
The query is whether CAD can mine the lithium, and this may depend on whether they can negotiate water rights from one of the rights holders.
Nevada Water says all the water is fully allocated, but I don't know if this includes the newly discovered aquifer which CAD found at Columbus Marsh.
CAD intend to continue drilling, so they may have some expectation of being able to mine.
Some possible (imaginary) options are:
a) new water rights;
b) negotiated water rights;
c) mining sediment without the need for water rights;
d) JV with water rights holder (WRH);
e) sell resource to WRH;
f) water recycling mining process;
g) other.

I don't suggest this is a realistic or complete list as I have no inside knowledge.

Let's hope the new financiers have done their DD.
