Some good bad and ugly in this announcement, my takeaways were:

1, Need silver prices to go to the moon to improve economics.
2. Construction mining and operating costs all up since Covid which is not surprising.
3. Mining costs might need a reset on open pit contractor mining costs to bring operator costs down, owner-operator won't solve this problem.
3. More water than they can poke a stick at so no need for dry stack tailings, so a win there.
4. Connection to grid is seemingly cost prohibitive & costs of diesel generation higher so pivoting to solar + battery will change the power supply story.
5. not enough lead sulphides to change the economics which is unfortunate.

Looks like they need to find another orebody or two in a similar area to increase resources and mine life to overcome the capital hurdles, they need to be higher grade and geographically nearby so there is one centralized processing plant.
