Exactly, this is a huge point of difference. We have the ability to break rock much sooner with potential starter pits and the existing mining licence is an invaluable step forward. We are also located in an area where there will not be a significant push back from the community. We are not trying to dig up 330 million tonnes of rock underneath productive farmland and state forest.
I have met Mr Rodda briefly at the AGM last year before he officially commenced working for POD and even at that point he seemed to be extremely enthusiastic and serious about being the first to production. He is a young man who has installed a young team of experienced "mine builders" behind him, as I said previously, I do believe we can and will be the first PGM producer in Australia. I have been around for quite some time in the mining space and I have been with a handful of companies who have transitioned from discovery to production, certain things become red flags for the ones who will never break rock and I can tell you with a high degree of confidence that none of those flags have been identified so far with POD for me.
I wouldn't pay much attention to the hairy palmed chap who claims to be the next Lang Hancock because he knows the difference between indicated and inferred. There's always one of those chaps that we tend to avoid in every forum, board meeting and outback pub. In reality, the difference between the two classifications are a bunch of infill drilling which is anything but complicated in a 15km reef.
Kind regards,
Alf.
