There are two elements to tailings, the solid material and the brine. The solid material that comes out of the ground is what makes up most of the tailings dams material, the brine is also there but can to some extent evaporate, but not the crap in the brine like the chemicals and the minerals. That's what PWN can concentrate on.
As for tailings, they're here to stay and I know we ( company I work for ) are working with global clients on how to cater for their future production in the limited tailings space they have on their mine sites before they have to shut down or do something radically different.
Yesterday I listened to a Podcast with Tolga Kumova on *. I have a watchlist for the stocks that Tolga suggested for 2021 and he went over 6 off them yesterday with interviewer. I researched them all, then realised like just about all the pennies on the ASX, they are all chasing that one drill hole, that one intercept that catapults them into stardom and 5-Disallowed status. Yes, there's research, review of archived mineralogy, drill cores and reports and the like, but at the end of the day a punt. Of the 6 stocks, I liked one of them and then it was still a punt. It's no wonder they give you 20 stocks at the start of the year, I can do that, one or two will take off. Put your you know what on the block and give me just one for 2021, not 20.
So we are all punting, hoping, that one of our stocks hits that amazing mother lode. That's not investing. I believe that Bahay is doing is methodical, well thought out ( not jumping from one thing to another because something is not working out), it's being executed, team is being built, reputation is building, partnering with the companies most likely to assist in out strategy execution. It's not a hope, a whim or a prayer, but a well thought out plan.
I'm going to put my money on the guy or girl that is executing a plan, not jumping to the next greatest commodity ( like we saw with Lithium, then back to gold, then onto who knows what else, uranium ( serious, uranium, you won't get a licence to operate another uranium mine in Aust for a decade if ever). PWN can cover brines from mining and refining( lots of minerals, look at the last lot of presentations for the whole list), Desal plants and CSG.
EV and ESG are the thematics for the 2020's and beyond and PWN has the tech and now the people to execute. I'll be here in 5, 10, even 15 years time when we all say, gee, i bought those at half a cent, and most will say but I sold them for 2-3 cents for a quick profit. Not me.
