Yep, the potential is good.

Quite a few countries have indicated an end date for production or import of petrol\diesel only vehicles. To get to this stage, we're going to need a lot more EVs and that means a lot more batteries. Getting the infrastructure\production in place for this will require quite a few changes before 2030 and some of this plays well to PWN's strengths. As an aside, places like Japan will have some hefty infrastructure changes as their electricity is heavy on non-renewables.

You also have ESG growing in importance and some huge pension funds, Norway and UK for instance, getting out of companies like BHP and AGL. Money talks and usually it says 'bend over'. Any plans will tend to follow the money and the money is beginning to say 'clean your act up'. Some very talkative money we've got there. ESG fallout seems to be targeted at coal etc, but will hopefully include water use at some point.

Page 23 of the corporate presentation notes some potential project solutions. A couple of those solutions - including the big one - have a next step of . . . Perform concept study (proposal issued) . . . Proposal issued. It looks like PWN has done about as much as they can and now it depends on how it all fits into the customer's plans. One thing that could help is Tesla's promise of a large and ongoing contract for any company able to produce Nickel with a process geared towards sustainability. We really could do with more announcements like that, situations that promote a need to demonstrate sustainability now rather than at some vague point in the future. Mining does not have a good record of caring for the environment unless it's forced to.
