I have owned renewable energy producers for many years now... entered AGL largely due to the actions of the GM at the time, I own IFT, also owned IFN... and its predecessors, pretty sure I have done my DD on the matter.

Cannot say with any certainty that I recall any of my investments suffering due to major weather event or act of god... IFN actually did pretty well during the SA event mentioned above in 2016 as the AEMO took control of their BESS and paid them for control during the time... almost as much revenue as the SA wind farms typically made during that timeframe.

Reality is - if the operator does what it is supposed to by the book... there is minimal risk of litigation... the road map to actually building wind & solar farms is quite comprehensive and most risks are identified and mitigated as part of the process... its not a couple of months to plan... it is YEARS.
