This is another partnership that many forget about ? Sure MSB received no upfront $ from it, but the recent news shows positive advances in CAR-T therapies .... and while MSB has nothing to do with this article or Novartis one would hope that Catherics and MSB will have similar positive outcomes in their trials with the cancers they have chosen to target ?

You can read the full article at the link above but I did like Greg Hunt's comments (Health Minister) re: the governments intentions with respect to CAR-T therapies:

Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt said the government's goal is to make Australia one of the global treatment centres for CAR-T therapy.

He said he was working closely with state and territory ministers to provide access to patients through the public system as soon as possible.

"I propose that CAR-T therapies such as Kymriah be funded in accordance with the mechanisms provided in the National Health Reform Agreement," he wrote in a letter to his state counterparts this week."

MSB's announcement was on 28th May 2018:

New York, USA; May 28, 2018 and Melbourne, Australia; May 29, 2018: Mesoblast Limited (ASX:MSB; Nasdaq:MESO) today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Cartherics Pty Ltd to develop allogeneic ‘off-the-shelf’ CAR-T cells armed with multiple targeting receptors for use in solid cancers. Off the shelf CAR-T therapies have the potential to reduce costs dramatically and open up this very effective treatment to millions of cancer patients across the world. The initial targets are relapsed ovarian and gastric cancers. Mesoblast and Cartherics will jointly own the intellectual property produced using their combined technologies.

Again while MSB and Cartherics's focus is on different cancers, it all relates to CAR-T therapies .... GLTAH
