Thanks JK! A nice bit of news coverage there for some important research for PIQ developing a test for QIMR discovered biomarkers. I think it explains things well how current medical practice works & how treatment pans out with oesophageal cancers once diagnosed, like gastric cancer, it’s pretty dire, but that may change soon with new Immunotherapies.
The headline was a “Rapid Test”. When they say ‘rapid’, I think they mean a blood test, not waiting 4-8 weeks in the Private system for endoscopy & biopsy (invasive) and potentially much longer on the public waitlist for routine screening, less for symptomatic patients with swallowing difficulties etc.
Over the next 12 months, this trial will be conducted. An earlier one in PIQ’s pipeline, but an important one. GLTAH
