Yes I am an expert in this area. I don't invest in ASX listed biotechs because of this, but I do keep an eye on them.
I actually made money on MUS (not as much as I would have if I had sold out at the top) because I bought in very early and sold most of my position in the 4c range after the crash. I still retain a modest position as penance.
RAN is an interesting investment. I am not down too much on it (my average is a little under 6c), but I am invested in RAN because of the environmental aspect. I want to see RAN succeed so we stop chopping down rainforests to make pallets. It is high risk, but at the current SP I am willing to do what I can to help them succeed. It might even turn out to be a good investment, but the odds are against it.
