Perhaps EGR should file a patent for 'Schrodinger's Graphite'. That is, graphite can be sold for revenue when calculating mine viability, but not costed if used for proposed down stream processing. A special type of graphite that's simultaneously sold and not bought, depending on which part of the business model is being spruiked.
