From what I can tell, EGR asked Dorfner for additional information to clarify their position regarding their purification process. Dorfner refused to provide the information to EGR, IP Australia has written to EGR to advise them Dorfner has refused and told EGR they can still make requests to Dorfner asking for additional information.

I honestly think this is bad news for Dorfner, it is upto them to prove EGR patent is not new and inventive, failing to provide clarification on their purification process isn't going to go down well with the panel who makes the final determination.
