It's worth noting that Patrick is loaded. His successful track record has made him very well off. His role on the board could just be advisory, but he does have the money to take up a serious stake in FLN if he wanted to. This could be the turning point for holders.

I still think FLN has significant problems. Organic activity on the site is down enormously from 2016-2019 - much of current revenue is due to dark patterns like confiscating inactive user account balances and from 'bought revenue' (e.g. Freightlancer). The seriousness of their problems is underestimated - the marketplace sector is making similar $USD revenue to 8-9 years ago, but inclusive of buying a couple freight sites that brought in a good chunk of revenue (meaning the traditional marketplace sector is way down).

However, bringing in a solid outsider to the board might be the start of steps to turn things around.
