Yeah it's a strange one. I think the ASX punters just need more time with it to get exposure and a wider audience. The whole Lithium sector is selling off on minor price weaknesses. Most ASX lithium punters have had an easy time on PLS, MIN, and LTR but no one has found a giant deposit in AUS for 5 years now.
To be on the next tier 1 asset investors are going to have to get comfortable with Canadian permitting, lakes, etc. The benefit of course is you're next door to the market which has the least amount of contracted supply. US Auto OEMs and Battery manufacturers need US-aligned supply to get the Inflation Reduction Act credits, and they haven't signed the offtakes to supply the market and the major Lithium supply is already spoken for from China, Korea, and Japan.
To be on the next multi-billion dollar Lithium project investors are going to need to get comfortable quick or wait another 5 years for the next giant to be discovered.
