Canada has a very onerous permitting process. Even if they fast track it from the usual 5 years back to 2.5 years, they then have to build and commission the plant. I believe first production, all going well, will be 2028. Hopefully, the battery minerals deficit, galvanises the Canadian’s into speeding up the permitting process.
Didn’t know it was a competition with PLS. Why is it every time a new listing comes to market, comparisons are made with PLS. Check the LTR threads. Says something about PLS that everyone makes that comparison, IMO.
Grades will help with economics, but Quebec/ Canada have their own set of factors that will increase OPEC/CAPEX. No doubt about it, the resource looks like being a Tier 1 asset that will do well to say out of the clutches of those big predators.
