Trading halt states " seeking a trading halt pending the finalisation of a material operational announcement" which indicates its not a corporate development ( NOVO etc). I also tend to agree with previous posts that the change to owner operator wouldn't normally justify this, given they have informed the market that it was happening.
Going by the Sept quarterly there are not many "scheduled" big operation changes for the Dec quarter. The Bartons UG seems to be ticking along well enough, has been for a while - no big planned change. They were going to start mining at the Golden Gate Pit (again already told the market this was the plan so trading halt not needed). And the Sulphide Plant expansion , well they were planning to focus on free milling so should be the issue.
This all being the case, has the feel it's either a positive ( market update on improved guidance for the quarter) or a negative in the form of unplanned event effecting production ( mining issue like rockfall etc \ more water problems \ recovery issues \ reduced guidance etc).
