I see this announcement as a very positive one for the sector. Obviously, all businesses in all sectors are affected by this crisis and only childcare sector is subsidised! We’re very fortunate to be supported!
The government will pay for 50% of our revenue BEFORE this crisis AND at least 40% of our cost BEFORE this crisis through jobkeeper (wage is 60% of total cost).
However, our actual cost now should have been significantly reduced (lease, wage and other savings), payment from the government should be more than enough to cover total cost. Not only we’d survive, we may even get some small profit! How lucky are we, in this current situation?!
