Nah I don't think we can make the assumption on bad news with drilling. I just think that any good company has a downside, base and upside plan. So if they do miss, they may not want to go through all the same problems with application etc before on their newly granted ground next door.
So they are likely picking up some ground which has all licenses and everything else set, problem is nothing is very cheap atm so depending on how much this acquisition you may see some dilution in shares or a CR. Wont matter if they dilute through shares really they are such low SOI.
I wouldn't be turned off by the announcement
