If we truly believe in human rights we should call out American foreign policy just like we call out China. We should call out the US drone strike campaign that has killed thousands of innocent people and done nothing to reduce terrorism. We should call out US torture campaigns, Abu Ghraib? Better why not ban Microsoft, Google, Apple, Tesla and etc over Congolese child labour/ deaths.
You see how pointless this is.
Australia can have a civil relationship with both China and the US. Why does it have to be one or the another. And yes we should stand up for human rights but let’s not hypocrites.
