However Morrison literally echoing Trumps talking points on the virus don't remedy the situation at all and then has significant negative consequences.
If diplomacy was in a good space with China (Which it hasn't been for 7 years), raising the issues in a proper manner and not providing sound bites for Chinese media to amplify would achieve a much better outcome for our national interest and wouldn't leave us continually exposed.
Also while the covid comments may have been the straw to break the camels back - these investigations are nothing new over the past 7 years.
Why? Because diplomacy with the country have been all but non existent so the LNP can ramp up their national interest rhetoric and paint ALP as CCP sympathizers.
