Popped into Guzman Y Gomez in Melbourne with multiple Tyro terminals - they have not had issues. Also visited a few cafes during the week, all surprisingly with Tyro terminals too, and none of them have had problems. All of this in Melbourne though. I feel for those businesses who have been experiencing problems however if a Square device is as cheap, easy and quick to setup as it is being made out to be - why don't these businesses just get on with it while waiting for a resolution. I am sure they will be able to claim the cost of getting the device plus any additional transaction charges above and beyond Tyro's from Tyro itself once this issue is settled instead of complaining about lost business and not doing anything proactive about it.
Businesses should also consider ways to keep themselves running instead of passing the buck to someone else. I commend those businesses which went out and got a Square device as a temporary measure.
