Pauses in trading generally come about because the ASX has received an announcement which on first check they feel is incomplete or they get wind of possible price sensitive information and query the company about.
As we saw from the announcement, when it came, was that the ASX had seen the article in The West and apparently thought this was new, undisclosed information that should have been announced under the continuous disclosure rules.
By SOR's response, they pointed out that the information had already been released to the market back in October and clarified the timeframe, along with restating that the battery cells still aren't at a stage to provide an announcement.
So not a speeding ticket, but more like a please explain with a potential warning.
