What I find interesting is that we have known about this poster presentation by PIQ for months from the last Investor Presentation (Poster 813P for those interested at ADA).
PIQ also presented Health Economics Data last month at a major USA Conference, we knew, it was not an ANN & attended by the Medical Community as well as Major Payers & Labs. No one batted an eyelid.
So why are we in TH for a poster presentation we already knew was happening at ADA 81st Scientific Sessions? Why has the value of the test gone up & savings to US Govt/Payers? Maybe because there could be late breaking data announced on the Janssen Ph2 collaboration, which included not only diabetic kidney disease but also cardiovascular disease as well?
This was also a focus of Ph2 with Janssen Collaboration, not just kidney disease as Canagliflozin (Invokana) is approved for both CVD/CKD/DKD in the USA & if you look at this major International Diabetes conference, a big collaboration with Cardiology, Nephrology & Endocrine in how to care for these patients with chronic & complex care needs are best met.
