ASX guidance note 8 may be relevant as it requires sufficient information to be release to allow determination of impact on the price of a security. Without providing any details on pricing/volume then perhaps this determination may be difficult.
Note the ASX requirement also overrides any confidentiality or non disclosure agreements.
So perhaps this is reason for pause/halt
