Call it stupid if you want, but I think there has been a very bad effort by both Tsingshan and NIC in this debacle.
I don't understand why the hell Tsingshan was shorting nickel so hugely in the first place, then they didn't have the wit to cover when the world turned to shit days before they were squeezed.
Then NIC should have requested a trading halt before the open today so they could get the information out and clear the air.
This has cemented my fondness for these stock discussion forums - this morning I didn't understand what was going on, but was able to figure it out with the help of other posters here. If that hadn't happened I probably would have sold when things looked really bad, and right now I'd be really pissed off.
