Interesting how so many people don’t read the whole announcement.

If you have money riding on a company make sure you read all the pages not just the headline.

The pause in trading alert is a new stage on the new software the ASX is now using. When I say new I mean it’s been around around for 12 months or so now. It the past it went straight to trading halt.

Anyway you can think of a pause the same way as a trading halt until the company or the asx requests the halt.

If it was a cap raise you would have seen the announcement pretty much straight away since it took time the company was caught unaware by the ASX speeding ticket.

Id love to know how the ASX algorithm works for strange trading as it only seems to work when I’m holding. When I’m not the company’s share price can run for days on high volume and the asx says nothing.
