Gosh. I certainly didn’t expect this. I had a lot of faith that the new management would satisfy the independent manager. I’m astonished and very disappointed that they seemingly haven’t been able to.

At the end of the day, I feel confident that the value of the assets held by SGR more than justifies the current share price, even without a casino license in NSW. If there is a bit of a bloodbath upon resumption of trading as a reaction to this announcement, it will hopefully be reversed when minds refocus on the value of the assets.

But this announcement is a scenario that should have been avoided at all costs. Management has a lot of explaining to do. In fairness, we should at least listen to what they have to say.
