The mine has been approved to proceed by government last year.
This will relate to the DFS which will determine if Regis decide to pursue the development and if the math still stacks up. A lot will have changed in the last (waaaay too many) few years.
If the math doesn't stack up after the amount of capital Regis has been pouring into this project to get the approval the entire board should be metaphorically shot.
I would expect a positive result in the sense the mine will go ahead. The variables are the cost (and thus profitability) to do so, and timeline and funding requirements (ffs they better not do a capital raise on this).
I wouldnt put any weight on initial share movement this morning, just following GDX overnight and rest of industry. It wasn't unusual and don't suspect its related to the DFS.
