Was Novonix expecting a pre-payment or similar cash injection to meet the $100m grant criteria. (Needs to be matched to be unlocked) & the longer they leave the CR with limited revenue the more difficult it is to match especially with their cash burn.
Was a quick $50m required to fulfil their obligations to enable them move forward with Riversides expansion.
Was this an over-site from our CEO & CFO therefore a plan was quickly implemented for CiTi to canvas potential institutional investors determining if a CR was feasible.
Seems the PowerCo/VW announcement was regurgitated & re-worded to look different 3 weeks after the initial announcement. Then their most recent X post doubling down on the 48c tax credits & visits from Gov officials after a similar post 4 days prior, add the recent “strong buy” from Chardan possibly strategically timed to coordinate with said CR. All speculation but seems to be the theme right now.
